What better attribute for this Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva Dimonios, produced by Sella & Mosca!
And everything, absolutely everything indicates the decisive, almost austere character of this wine:

– The grape: Cannonau in purity, autoctonous vine of the splendid Sardinian region
– The name: Dimonios. Title of the hymn of the Sassari Brigade, group of Italian Army composed entirely of Sardinians, solid and compact as they are
– The scent: intense, deep, ripe cherry, but also herbaceous and spicy
– The taste: irresolute, warm, impactful, full-bodied, notes of oak, licorice, vanilla. Here too the Sardinian earth is perceived and it persists for a long time, a flavor supported by the tannins that give vigor to the structure.

Only dishes with comparative strength can compete with the impetus of this wine: robust red meats, game, roasts, lamb and – if only we were on that island – a nice porceddu roasted on a spit.

“Lower your forehead if you’re sitting, get up!” recites the first verse of the hymn of the Sassari Brigade also shown on the label. We raise the cup and toast to the General.
