The “saga” of Burgundy continues to perfectly pair with the term “friends”.

This is the wine that I decided to bring in response to the invitation of friends who we haven’t seen for a long time, friends of those who don’t need to see each other every day to experience those affinities and common interests that animate our moments of being together and which support us each other.

Briefly, you need a wine that does not disappoint, and that leaves its mark.
I rely on Burgundy: I have a 2017 Maranges 1er Cru Clos de la Boutière from the Bachelet-Monnot winery in my cellar.

Well, this Pinot Noir, domaine Dézize-lès-Maranges, southern part of the Côte de Beaune, has exceeded all expectations: this bright ruby wine has an extremely intense bouquet rich in fruity notes: a strong ripe but crunchy cherry, wild strawberry and a crazy leather note make it lively and vivacious. It is a rigorous wine with good acidity and delicate sapidity together with a very long aftertaste. The sip is enveloping, pure silk.

The domaine is run by two brothers, Marc and Alex Bachelet, who followed in their father’s footsteps, but who knew how to add originality to their wines: and when human ability is combined with the exceptional terroir of Burgundy, the result can only satisfy .

This bottle will remain imprinted for the evening spent exquisitely around a glareyard fondue with exceptional people. Santé!
