Germany is not just beer mugs and froth, but is in one word: Riesling. Excellent and superfine Riesling.
I tried this bottle of Riesling from the Rheingau region, the cradle of the best Rieslings in the world: the color is a pale straw yellow, characterized by an elegant hint of apple and white-fleshed fruit and on the palate a definite note of freshness and measured sapidity make this wine a sublime picture. And this fresh and mineral note makes it perfect with seafood dishes, mainly shellfish: I tried it with a pasta with octopus sauce, delicious!
A German product (apparently) cold and introverted that opens up to the vastness of the sea: this is the power of wine.
